John

Still something of a mystery, because nobody knows where he came from or much of anything else about him. He’s been unwilling to share any of his past with his new friends/roommates Miriam and Sherry. Miriam didn’t take long to accept this; Sherry was a little more reticient, but eventually trusted him enough to hire him to work for her. Doesn’t drink, but accepted the bartending job mostly due to Miriam’s prodding. He’s quiet, thoughtful, polite, health-conscious; the opposite of Miriam in many ways. He seems fond of Miriam, although his reactions to most of what she does range from bemused to disapproving. His interest in her seems decidedly platonic, perhaps even parental. John has a way of winning people over, even while they remain uncertain of his motivations. Shows no indication of a desire to take advantage of this. Spends a lot of his free time with Sherry, causing Miriam to speculate on the nature of their relationship.
